What is Cavernum ?

Cavernum is a one-button game developed as part of my first year of study in Game Design.

It is a rage game inspired by Bennett Foddy's games (Getting Over It, QWOP) for its challenging gameplay and difficult controls, and Hollow Knight for its art direction and lore.

How to Play :

As a one-button game, Cavernum only uses a single button: the spacebar. (And the Tab key to pause) (You can change these controls in the main menu.)

When you press the main button/spacebar, the sword you control starts rotating clockwise or counterclockwise.

When it stops flat, the rotation direction changes (depending on the direction in which it stops).

To navigate the menus, a short press moves to the next button, and a long press "clicks" the current button.

The goal of the game is to release the light trapped inside glowing bulbs by touching them with your sword.

Disclaimer :

Cavernum is still in an early stage of development. Many things are likely to change, and numerous levels have yet to be created. If some features are buggy or seem unfinished, don't worry—that's normal.

Feel free to report any bugs to help speed up the quality control process.

I do not own most of the graphical and audio assets in the game. Please refer to Attributions.txt for credits.
